Sorry its been awhile since I've posted. ALOT has been going on...and finding time to get on the computer is hard. These boys are certainly keeping me busy!

Max is talking up a storm, saying some words and has figured out going up and down the stairs. Thankfully since our baby gate is on it's last leg. He flirts with all of the ladies by doing "pretty eyes" and blowing LOUD kisses their way! Ryan, well...he is a mess! A great mess that is! He is so unique with his mannerisms, the way he talks and his love. He is my cuddler and I so look forward to our nightly nuggle time. Jackson is doing exceptionally well in school, has made a ton of friends and has found a love in music. I catch him singing and dancing along to his favorite tv shows.

We enjoyed a trip to the Four Seasons resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; compliments of Insight!!! Yay Jack! Daddy has worked really hard the past few months and was given a promotion within his current company. I am so very proud of him and am thankful all of his hardwork has paid off. Although Jack has always succeeded in anything he has tried, a good 'ole pat on the back goes a long way! Congratulations honey!

Spring Break was a blast! We went to Dinosaur World and Roughcreek Lodge and Resort with Jacki and her family. The boys had a blast! Being ourdoors with animals, bugs and the sun on our face was exactly where we wanted to be. Pictures will be posted soon!

At home, we are in the middle of many projects. Revamped our office, cleaned out the boys room by adding bunk beds and consolidating many many toys. I added some personal touches to the guest bedroom and plan to continue that. Jack just rewired the cables in our Master so we can hang his birthday present :). A new plasma TV! Next to tackle, rewiring our Media Room and hopefully new floors throughout the house. Ongoing projects include landscaping, upgrading all fixtures throughout the house, and if I am lucky....granite countertops.

Me, well, I am doing good. I prefer staying busy since any down time kind of throws me off balance. I feel as if I am missing something if I actually have time to sit down. I did break my foot and caught a fishing lure to the groin...but other than that....I am hanging in there. I love my life and consider myself extremely blessed. But I do wish I lived closer to my sister and her family. I am enjoying watching my kids grow up but I feel like they are missing out on some special memories with their cousins. They ask about their Nana and Grandma Georgia and why they can't see them since their friends visit their grandparents often. So we try to spend as much time as we can with family but I do wish I could hop in the car and be at Jacki's house in 15 mins. Nothing like getting a hug from the person who knows you best.

To sum up the last few months... we are living life to the fullest, laughing often, and loving with all our hearts!

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to share the latest addition to our family. Lucy! She is a Bischon Shitzu mix and is as sweet as pie. We knew we needed to get a new puppy soon since Baylee is getting up there. I just found her sooner than expected. We wanted them to be together for awhile...and sure enough, having Lucy has given Baylee a little bounce in her step. She has acted super frisky, played more, and seems to be doing much better after her recent stay in the pet hospital. Here are a few pic's of Lucy and her Big Sister Baylee...

Max's Big Day!

Where did the time go? Max started to walk right at 9months and from that point, I haven't sat down. He is on the go! Chasing his brothers or the puppies, he is a ball full of energy. One difference he has from his 2 brothers is that he talks. ALOT. jibberish, mostly but he is certain that he is telling someone something! We had a jungle party to celebrate his birthday and I was pretty impressed with my cupcakes. I watched a youtube video and learned how to make all sorts of fun animals!

We did it!
60 miles, 3 days, TOTALLY Inspired!
Jack and I accomplished one of our goals this month. We wanted to do something that gave back...something that challenged us...something that made us proud. We walked 60 miles in 3days with our neighbor Bill. We did this in honor of Mrs. D, and Tammy (Bill's mom) and for all of the women who have or will have breast cancer. It was such a fun and rewarding experience! Here are some of our pics.

Many of you already know that my little charmer has made it in the BIG TIME! Well, that is what any proud mamma would say! Jackson has had his taste of fame! That's right, he is a MOVIE STAR!
Ha! Not so much.... :)
He did, however, get 15 seconds in a Barney video! No lyin! Promise! The video came out last week and they were already sold out so I had to order myself a copy. After seeing it today, I realized that I STILL dislike Barney...none of my kids ever watched him...I can't tell if its the voice, or the lack of animation. At least when we watched The Wiggles, their faces had reactions...Dude, Captain Feathersword?!?!He totally ROCKED!!! Today, one of my favorites is FanBoy and ChumChum...the voice cracks me up...its like Jack in a cartoon! :)

At any rate, Yes, Jackson was in a Barney video with some of his classmates from TLC. Sad to say his 15 seconds of fame came at such a young age...who knows, he still may have a career in TV!

September! Where did you go?

Hello Peeps!

September has come and gone and I didn't write one thing about it! Crazy...that is all I can say! Work, Kids, School, Friends, Home, LAUNDRY (geesh, laundry with 4 boys=insane)etc....So many things but yet still able to have some fun!
Jackson is doing extremely well at Mary Evans, Ryan is excelling in his new class and Max, well, he has taken his class by storm! Max is walking(mostly)...he has been since he was 9 months old. I say walking only b/c he does it but without confindence. He likes to hold on to something. It doesn't have to be a large object either like a table or a couch. As long as "something" is in his hand(toy, small car, diaper cream, fa-fa)...he's on the go. All 4 of my boys are doing WONDERFUL!

Jack was super sweet and had an inpromtu birthday celebration for me! 37- I feel old, tired, wrinkled and did I mention tired? ;)Some of our friends, neighbors and kids came over for dinner, dancing and cake. Good times were had by all! I especially liked the dance party! Jackson had some serious FAST dance moves, while Jack Jr performed his signature donkey kick! Lauren twirled her beautiful curls and smiled that sweet innocent smile while swaying to the music. Madelaine and Blake both brought some "flava flave" to the night as well!

Its been awhile since us girls got together so it was a special night. We decided to take a group photo so I thought I would share how hard it is to accomplish this....

Next....he just started shooting...I saw flashes so I stood as still as I could...my smile never cracked! Everyone else is talking but not me, nope...I wasn't going to budge! I wanted a decent pic of me dang it!

Jackson's first day in Public Kindergarten!

What a morning! Jackson woke us all up and said he is ready for big boy school! I was so excited that he was excited, but nervous that I forgot something.

Lastnight, we went over the rules, reminded him how to get to his class, quizzed him on what he was allowed to pick for lunch and if he had memorized his 4 digit lunch code, explained how to get to the bus stop so his old teacher, Mrs Angela(from TLC) could find him and take him to their after school program....oh goodness..so much to remember! I was at least lucky to have TLC offer to pick up Jackson. Who would have thought that you'd have to register your child for "kids club after school program at the school" 9 months before school actually started. Geesh!

At any rate, our morning couldn't have been more perfect. We dropped off Max and Ryan then headed over to Mary Evans to eat breakfast with Jackson on his first day of school. We walked in and watched him say hi to the staff...sooooo couretous! I just love him!

He found the cafeteria and got his tray, breakfast and juice just like a pro....walked over to the cashier, punched in his code...viola! All done. We sat down and talked about his day and that we couldn't wait to hear about all of his new friends. Finally, the bell rang and we had to let Jackson lead the way to his classroom...again, no problems...like he has done it a thousand times. He pushed Daddy and I out and said I love you! I was so proud! I didn't think he'd say it b/c he'd get embarrassed, but he did it....for mommy! I blew him a kiss, teared up and walked to the library where the school was hosting muffins and juice for all of the mommies....the gathering was called Tissue and tears..quite appropriate I must say!

Busy Busy

It feels like forever since I've actually written something on here. Our summer is flying by as fast as can be and we've been busy busy. I guess being back at work with project after project and it being hotter than blazes outside, I find myself praying every day for 9pm to come quickly. That means its bed time and I can finally sit down :). Last weekend Jack and I enjoyed a much needed Parents Night Out sponsored by our boys school. Surprisingly, Jack and I went to the gun range and I shot his 40 caliber for the first time EVER even though he's had that thing for years. Despite being the only girl, in a dress...I must say I did great!!! That target never had a chance! ;) The kickback was stronger than I expected but I managed it pretty well. After shooting, we met some friends out for dinner and drinks. Perfect evening all around!

Then, on Sunday, I attended my very first Art class. It was awesome! The entire experience was so relaxing. The instructor was encouraging...AND its bring your own wine (Heck Ya!)! No, it wasn't color by numbers :) but I felt like it could have been. The way the instructor guides you makes it all seem too easy!

Oh My Goodness...how time flies! I can't believe you are already 6 years old. I have never been more proud of you! I smile so much when I think about the day we met you! What a handsome baby! :)

You are such a caring and loving young boy. Thank you for all of the hugs and kisses each and every day! Thank you for helping me with your brothers and for being "in charge" when daddy travels.

We celebrated Jackson's birthday by having an indoor swim party with his family and friends. It was perfect except that the air conditioning wasn't working in the party room and I was sweating bullets. Jack came to check on me and thought someone threw me in the pool I was so wet! Ugh...

They all look so much alike to me except the eyes. Ryans eyes are tiny(pale blue), Jackson's are average in size(seafoam blue/green),and Max's are huge(hazel green)!They have the same ears, cheeks, chin, and smiles.

Teacher Appreciation Week!

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week~

I applaud all who have chosen the career path of being a teacher!!!! Just returning to work after my 3rd maternity leave, I can say that being a stay-at-home mom is probably the hardest job EVER. At least in my opinion.....I know that I could not do it! The next hardest job out there I think is being a teacher. There is so much patience required for both and I know I just don't have it.....Thank you teachers!!!! You make such a difference!!!!!!

We changed pre-schools a year and 1/2 ago per several recommendations from our friends. I have to tell you that we are so happy that we switched. The school our boys currently attend is TLC and I would (and have) recommend them to everyone!!! I tried to do something small for each of the boys teachers each day of the week to let them know how much we love them and appreciate all they do to help my little guys learn and be safe!!!! We are so very lucky.....

A Blessed Day!

We recently had Max christened in the catholic church and it was such a beautiful day!! We kept it very small, but that didn't diminish the importance of the day. Our family was present and my sister flew in from Houston for the day. Our dear friends Kevin and Daisy honored us by standing next to us at the ceremony as Max's Godparents. He is so lucky to have such an amazing couple guide him through his many journeys.

Max did exceptionally well. He looked as handsome as could be and he didn't cry once during the ceremony. I really do think he was the favorite baby being baptized by the comments the deacon made each time he saw him! I could be biased though ;). Afterwards, we celebrated at the house with a late lunch and some yummy cake! Here are some pic's of the Big Day!

SIGH!

Wow, let's just say, wow. The past month, or two, have been crazy. All I can say is I am a very lucky lady to be married to Jack. Despite our world being turned upside down with chaos, he hasn't skipped a beat. Because I haven't been myself lately, I have to give Jack a gold medal and consider him a true ROCKSTAR. How does he do it? He always makes me feel safe and makes me smile. I am taking it day by day...and I pray each day it gets a little better....today, was a good day. I actually felt a little normal. ;)

The boys have adjusted to Max pretty well. They help out when needed and are very protective of him. They love to show him off when we go to the store or to school.

This weekend, Jackson and Ryan are taking me to the Mommy/Son Valentines Day dance at our High School. Jackson took me last year and it was one of my proudest moments for Jackson. He was a true gentleman. I have video on this blog of him tearin up the dance floor with his serious moves! I will post this years pic's soon!

My sweet baby MAX!!!

Max is here and is absolutely gorgeous! I bet I am biased though! :)

Max Robert Donato arrived Tuesday, December 8th @ 9:41am weighing in at 10lbs 2.4 oz and 21 inches long. We spent the week at Plano Presby hospital and expect to be released on Saturday.

Surgery was different for me this time b/c I knew what to expect. Most would assume that would make it easier, but not for me, it made it worse. Much worse! Emotionally, I was a basket case. It is good I had my "rock" there with me the entire way b/c I don't think the nurses could have handled me :). Jack was incredible. He said all the right things, did all the right things, he even thought about how to comfort me 3 steps before I asked for it. He made the experience tolerable, even pleasureable for me. After being walked into the operating room, and getting my most feared epidural, I was able to calm down a bit. I still teared up from anxiety, but I wasn't actually crying anymore. Don't get me wrong, I was in no pain at all, infact, this was probably the easiest epidural I received to date. But like I said, emotionally, I was wreck and expecting the worse for some reason.

When my Dr. pulled Max out of my belly, all I could here were the nurses, Jack, and my Dr all say "OMG, he's huge"!!! Look at his head. I immediately laughed, cried and felt at ease! My baby was here, safe and sound. AND, he made an entrance just like his brothers! I was ecstatic!

Max's personality is very calm. He is soaking it all in and adores his daddy! Mommy feeds him, daddy burps him. It works for us and Max loves his daddy time. Both Jackson and Ryan are already very protective of baby brother Max and were upset when they found out he and I had to stay in hospital for a few more days. Here are some pic's for you to enjoy! The Margarita Ball- 2009

Jack and I were fortunate enough to be invited to this years Dallas Society Margarita Ball!! It was amazing to see HOW BIG this event was; over 10,000 people attended and donated thousands of toys to local Dallas Charities. It certainly got us in the mood for gift giving this season! Here are a few pic's of the night. Despite me being 9 months pregnant, I was able to last until 11:30!!!! 3 hours past my bedtime! :) Oh, and I have NEVER has so many (drunk) strangers want to touch my belly! Kind of got a little weird toward the end of the night.....

Max's Closet

I have to say we have the most caring/creative friends in the world! Despite baby #3 being a sweet little boy, my friends decided to throw Jack and I a shower for him. I know, it goes against all etiquette rules, but their reasons were so genuine and super super sweet. They wanted us to still feel extra special and let us know that Max will be so loved by all who meet him despite the rough year we have had.

I lost my mom 8 years ago, and Jack lost his mom, uncle and grandma this year. So, as you can imagine, bringing a sweet baby into the world without having the love of their grandma's around brings us sadness. Neither Jackson nor Ryan got to meet their Grandma Georgia. They did, however, get to experience the love that their Nana had to share with them for a short time. But Max, well, he won't get to meet his grandma's or experience any of their love. We will definitely let him know how both Grandma Georgia and Nana were amazing women who are protecting him from the heavens above...And we have lots of pictures of them to share with him.

So, this brings us to Max's Closet. A very, very special baby shower for our sweet baby Max. My friends thought Max shouldn't have to wear his brothers hand-me-downs. Instead, they cleaned and pressed THEIR kids NICEST clothes and gave those to us. How thoughtful is that?!?! :) You should see how darling these outfits are!! Just precious! They were also so generous and gave us some new items/diapers/burp cloths as well. They cooked us dinner and had the most beautiful cake made.....I can't begin to express how gracious we are for their kindness. But most of all, how thoughtful it was for them to realize that even though bringing Max into the world is so exciting, we can't help but be a little sad that he won't get to know his grandma's except through stories and pictures.....

Thank you to our dear friends. We love you and appreciate your kindness more than you can ever imagine and we can't wait for Max to be born into " the group "!!! :)

Anniversary

Sorry for the delay in updating but as you can imagine, things have been slightly crazy!

Jack and I recently celebrated our 11th year of marriage!!! So exciting!! It was a low key event as I was having mild contractions, but we celebrated by having a nice dinner out at one of my favorite restaurants. We also took a day off of work and spent it together, just us and no kiddo's. That was awesome!!

I have to say I am the luckiest woman in the world to have Jack choose me as his life partner. I knew it before, but the way he has cared for me and the boys during this pregnancy has just reiterated how much he loves me. Chasing two feisty boys is hard enough in itself, but being pregnant makes it a little more challenging. Jack has totally stepped up to the plate. He has done bedtime routines, cooked dinner, cleaned the dishes, taken boys to play dates, done the laundry...etc. The list goes on and on.....All of this was to allow me time to rest, so that when I did have energy, I could be playing with the boys! What a gem!

Labor Day Weekend 2009

We spent this Labor Day with Jacki and her family at their beachhouse in Galveston! We had a blast! My honey was so generous and bought ME a flight so I wouldn't be uncomfortable on the ride down there. Then, he took both boys with him and drove the 5 1/2 hours by himself.....I am so blessed! Hope you enjoy the pic's!

Dr. Appt's

I wanted to give some updates on a few Dr. Appts we had recently.

Jackson recently had a Strept Throat (common for him) AND Scarlet Fever (not common for him). The rash freaked me out as well as the RED blisters that lined the inside of his mouth and throat. He has recovered from both and is doing very well! :)
He also recently had his 5 year big boy well visit with his Dr. and she gave him A+'s across the board! His vision is on target for his age and so is his hearing! We need do a follow up with his ENT just to make sure all is ok on that front. He is 75%for Height and 70% for his weight.He received his flu vaccination already so we are set for the year!!!! He just LOVES Kindergarten so far!! Way to go Jackson!!

I had a doctor appointment recently and it went OK. Normally I would say it went Awesome b/c I just LOVE hearing the heartbeat and getting my questions answered. However, I kind of/ sort of got a little scolded b/c my weight gain for this month was too much. Infact, the doctor almost made me get on the scale again and HIM do it b/c he thought it was wrong. I was so embarrassed!! He did say that even though I give birth to baby HIPPO's, my weight gain wasn't all baby's fault and I needed to work on it :(. Luckily, I am still significantly below what I weigh'd at this point with both Ryan and Jackson so .....that is a good thing right? AND, I had hardly gained any weight up until this point b/c I've been sick. You'd think that by me chasing the boys so much while Daddy traveled was enough exercise, but apparently not!! I also had my diabetes testing done so fingers crossed I pass it like I did with both Ryan and Jackson...I do NOT want to do that long yucky test!!

Baby Boy is growing just like the doctor expects. I am 24 weeks this week and despite my due date being moved up again, he is still measuring a week and a half bigger. So, Baby is set to arrive on December 8th. I have anterior placenta which just means the placenta is covering the inside front of my belly. It could be an issue later since I have to have a c-section, but right now, nothing to worry about :).

Ryan has progressed SO WELL with his potty training in the last 2 weeks its amazing! He was recently moved into a new class at school b/c of his progress and he is adjusting extremely well. No accidents in almost 2 weeks! EVEN AT NIGHT TIME! I was worried he'd regress with his class change but not my Ryan, he just went with the flow!! :) We are so so so proud of him!

Daddy is well and is still traveling but we hope it slows down soon this fall!

First Day of Kindergarten

OMG! How time flies! I can't believe my baby boy Jackson started Kindergarten today!! It is a sad day but also a super happy day! We had originally thought to hold Jackson back and start Kindergarten next year since his birthday is so late in the summer. But his pre-k teachers were very reassuring that he was ready and needed to move on. We will re-evaluate his progress at the end of this year and decide whether he should attend Kindergarten again in Allen ISD or jump straight to first grade..at any rate, he needed the challenge now so he is attending a Private Kindergarten at TLC. I know it could be much worse having him jump straight into the public school system. BUT, it doesn't make it any less difficult realizing that he is growing up....This morning we made him his favorite breakfast and showered him with lots of hugs and kisses. I was helping him with his backpack and he said, "I can do it mom". MOM??!!??! really, who the heck is MOM? I am mommy, dang it and you will continue to call me mommy until, until....well ALWAYS call me mommy!! Never stop! I love you so much Jackson and I am so super proud of you. Since summer was coming to an end quickly, Jack and I decided to take a day off of work and spend it with the boys. We made a HUGE breakfast, then packed up in the car and headed out to the Forth Worth Zoo! It was the perfect day! Not too hot and it really wasn't crowded at all....the boys loved it! I really enjoyed spending quality time with the men in my life! Such a beautiful day!

We were lucky enough to have Christian, Ryan's best bud, and our neighbors join us for the festivites. My big boy turned 5 on July 14th!!! All I can say is that Jackson makes me so happy. He is kind, caring, energetic, smart, silly, outgoing, and so many more. He makes my heart happy and I am so blessed to have him as a son. He teaches me things daily and reminds me to slow down and appreciate the small stuff. I am amazed by your determination and ability to DO ANYTHING you put your mind to! I love you so much sweet, sweet Jackson. We are so proud of you!

Hello family and friends!

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated the blog. Things have been so crazy for us but we are getting back into the swing of things. I wanted to personally take this time to THANK all of our close friends and family who were there for us when we lost Mrs. D. It was such a hard time and it meant the world to us that you stepped in and did as much as you all did. The personal visits, the phone calls, long talks I’ve shared with you, the FOOD, the cards, flowers, prayers, hugs….all of it.
We can’t thank you enough. You know who you are and I want you to know we sincerely appreciate you. :)

June was extremely busy between work, traveling, birthdays, and doctor appointments.

Jack’s work travel has been picking up a bit lately (and will get much worse soon) which makes me feel like a single mom at times. Wrangling both boys by myself while working full-time and being pregnant w/ our 3rd baby is not an easy task. Especially since this time, I have awful morning sickness. Times like these is where I really miss my mom and Mrs. D. If I can keep myself from throwing up, things are actually ok. I’ve missed a few events just b/c I spaced them but other than that…A-OK. The only other complaint I have is that I get terribly car sick now. The drive to Houston was HORRIBLE. I had to take the wheel and drive on the way home to help my queasiness, but Jack seemed ok with that one. :)

Father’s day was super special! The boys and I took daddy to IHOP @ 7am to miss the crowd. The boys and I got BLUEBERRY pancakes with whipped cream! SO Yummy! And daddy had the breakfast of champions!! The boys made daddy some fancy plaques from school and helped mommy design a special website to honor Nana.
We spent the day at the pool and just enjoyed each others silliness!

All of us kids also took Mr. D to a Roughrider’s game and watched a guy get PEGGED in his shoulder with a foul ball. HOLY COW, it bruised his arm right before my eyes! That sport is dangerous too! We ate BBQ, drank beer(not me but it smelled so good) and had plenty of ice cream (me too!).

I have had a few events with work that were fun! We enjoyed a Live Elvis Concert at the Arboretum! This impersonator was incredible…Great food, Great music and fun times with family and friends. It was hotter than blazes but we still enjoyed ourselves. Daddy got home and was super sore since he apparently was the jungle gym for the little ones.

We went to an even HOTTER place (HOUSTON) to celebrate Cullen’s 5th Birthday. We bounced until we could bounce no more….we had a pretty tight schedule since we were only there for a short period, but its always nice to get to see Jacki and the family.

I had a Dr appt on June 29th and all looks great with baby #3. Strong heartbeat, slight weight gain( yay! I’ve really been watching it this time). I am 16 ½ weeks and still have an EDD of December 16th. I will have a scheduled C-Section so I am hoping to have baby on Dec 7th or Dec 8th to give us enough time to get home and settled before the Holiday. The boys are super excited about having a sister or brother. Ryan is adamant that he too has a baby in his belly! Priceless!

This world, this community, this family lost a most loving and caring woman and mother on Tuesday, May 12th to a cancerous illness that only the strongest and most courageous could have fought and survived as long as she did. One can only look at the closeness of her family and the unbreakable bonds of love this family shares, to know how Mom lived her life. Defining qualities such as unconditional love, relentless strength, unwavering faith, kindness, self-less charity do not even begin to describe the woman and mother she was. She is everything that is right and good in this world and everything our Lord, Jesus Christ meant for us to be. She was more than what a husband, child or grand child could have prayed for in a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a blessing and the foundation to all that we are and will be. Our family and this community will look to her and know that we have experienced a love that only God could have given us. Her grandchildren will be awed by the stories told of her heroic fight with cancer, her strength in the mist of adversities, her passion for life and family, and her incredible self-less charity towards all. Never complaining, weakened in faith, or allowing anyone to pity or feel sorry for her she lived a life that was pure and proud and was full of spirit, love, and compassion. She lived as we all should aspire to live. Her family and friends are heavy of heart, but from her life, as wife, mother, grandmother and friend, we have a blue-print of the kind of person God wants us to be and has left us all with heavenly riches and wealth that could not possibly be acquired. Our family will never forget the amazing dinners she would cook, the laughs we would have while sitting around table telling stories of the week. The food fights that we would start and she would join and win. We will never forget mom’s forgiving arms and supportive words whenever we strayed off path or made bad decisions. Though these errors in judgment unfortunately seemed quite frequent, we always knew home with mom would heal all wounds and that support would always be right inside her front door. Our hope for mom was usually to strike it rich on the slots in Vegas when she would put medicine to the side and head out on vacation, or get a chance to scream out “Bingo” in our local Bingo parlor with out 5 other people simultaneously hitting and splitting mom’s well deserved money. We would say, “who on earth could deserve winning any more than mom?” Mom was so full of life. We look back at pictures from her early days and hear stories of this amazingly beautiful Catholic School girl who used to hang out with so many girlfriends at the end of her Philly’ street waiting for this hot-rod of a guy to pull up in his always clean 58 Chevy and drop some pick-up line only heard from a South Philly boy. Yes, dad had some nice cars back then and apparently some good pick up lines. Mom was a spunky, charismatic, and beautiful girl from the day she stepped into this world to the day she went forth to God. Her family will love her, and celebrate her memory, until the end of time. We thank you Lord, for giving us this magnificent gift we call wife or mom, and for giving us the time to laugh with her, learn from her, and love her. We now have a heavenly champion that will fight for us and never leave our side. We have been blessed with true beauty.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is bittersweet to me in a way. I feel so blessed yet I feel so incredibly sad. I am suppose to be showering my mom with "I Love You's and Thank You's" for all of the amazing things she has taught me through the years. Unfortunately, I can't. I soooo wish I had her here with my right now. I wish I could show her how amazing her grandchildren are and that they have her beautiful blue eyes. I wish I could hug her and say "I finally get it!" :) I have such an appreciation for what she did and who she was. I wish I could surprise her with my good news. I wish for so many things. I want her to be proud of me and my family. I love you mom so much and I miss you even more!

I want to take all the pain away from my 2nd mom. The suffering she has endured is beyond comprehension and yet, she still calls me and asks, "how are you? how are the boys?" Did they get my gift? Mrs. D was definitely brought to me for a reason. She teaches me so much. I have learned about giving, caring and being selfless from her. Her graciousness and compassion for others is overwhelming. She is the ROCK of our extended family and I pray she has the strength to get through this. Happy Mother's Day Mrs. D. You are in our prayers and I love you.

My mother's day??? Well, all I can say is that I am truly blessed. Blessed by the little things. I woke up this morning to homemade cards, a homemade flower pot full of kisses, and a poem all from the love's of my life. I had a wonderful cup of coffee with my family around me(from my new Keurig), and enjoyed a quiet brunch with my husband and sister in law. Who could ask for anything more?

I can now say from experience that I truly do think being a mom is one of the hardest job's out there, but the most rewarding as well! Oh, I am thankful for waterproof mascara! Not a day goes by that I don't cry from happiness or being sad!

I thank God every day for my blessings and for listening to my prayers!

Hands Down 2009 @ Camp John Marc

We just returned from one of the most rewarding weekends ever. Jackson was selected to participate in a weekend camp for our support group Hands Down through Scottish Rite Hospital. We can not express how much we enjoyed ourselves. The camp directors, volunteers, peer counselors and other campers were all fabulous! We love all of you and want to thank you for providing my family these wonderful memories. Jackson caught the Biggest Fish of the weekend! We were able to hold a python, a HUGE spider, ate Smores, and enjoyed a carnival under the stars. Jackson made many new friends and came home with even more confidence than he had before he arrived at camp! What an amazing trip I will never forget! We are truly blessed!

Spring is in the air!!!

The past few weeks have been very exciting for us! We LOVE this time of year. The boys have had their Spring parties at school and they were super fun! Both boys took their SpiderMan Easter Baskets with their SpriderMan Easter Eggs to school and had some fun with their friends!

Jackson went to his friends Skylar Birthday Party at UBounce! So fun! It is a great place to have a party and their were actual chairs and tables for the parents to sit and observe. We went to Houston and celebrated Lilly's 7th birthday and Jackson went ice skating for the 2nd time. He actually did better than Daddy did this time! ;)

Family Vacation: Steamboat

We just got back from a FABULOUS family vacation! We spent a week in Steamboat Springs, Colorado with Jacki's family and 8 other people. 8 adults and 8 kids...so much fun. Jackson did fantastic in ski school and was bumped up two levels the first day! So exciting!! I fell off the ski lift only once :), we got locked out of our condo while in our swimsuits...so cold! And Jack was happy to ski some black diamonds with Anthony. Overall...the vacation was incredible. I would do it again in a heartbeat despite having to carry all of the heavy gear with the kids. Saturday, Jackson took me on our first date to a Mother/Son Valentine's Day dance at the High School in Allen. He was so proud to put on his "daddy jacket" and his tie. He looked absolutely adorable! And, I have to say, I was extremely impressed. Despite being only 4, his manners were outstanding! When we arrived, he ran over to the flower table and told them that he got one for me and asked if they could find it,pwwueeze. :) He held the door open for me each time it was needed, he repeatedly got me a cookie :), and one for himself too! When we first arrived he immediately got shy and wouldn't go out on dance floor and asked for his daddy. It wasn't until my friend arrived with her son, when Jackson started to come out of his shell. Once he was out, there was no holding back as illustrated in the video below!!! He was the life of the party and all the mom's were complimenting me on my adorable son.

Since this is our FIRST year we were able to get a babysitter to ring in the new year, Jack got a reservation at Loft 610 for us and couple of our friends! We had an entire section all to ourselves, well kind of ;)! All I cared about was that I had a chair to sit in after all of my dancin, and that I did! :) The food was good, the beverages EVEN Better and the company was fabulous! Thanks honey for a wonderful way to start a brand new year! Love you!

Unfortunately, we lost someone very special and dear to our hearts this holiday!

Jack's Grandma passed away this year on Christmas Eve. We had the services this past Tuesday and they were just beautiful. It was so nice to see a few of our friends there showing their support to Jack and his family. Gigi was loved by all. She was a very gracious and sincere woman!

A little late in posting but we have had a stressful holiday this year. Our entire family had the stomach flu throughout Christmas week so needless to say, I don't have very many pictures to post. :(

Natually, when you are planning to host a dinner, something must go wrong. Besides being sick, we realized our refridgerator died! We had to go from store to store trying to find one that could be delivered on Christmas eve so we had enough time to shop for food before the stores closed. Luckily, Jack found a replacement in the knick of time! :)

Jack and I were enjoying some wine with our neighbors Wynne and Kenny lastnight. We were sitting at the table gabbing away when we heard some cluncking around on our wood floors. We got up to see what the noise was....and Viola! This is what we saw! :)

At one point, we had a fashion show with ALL of mommy's shoes. It was too cute until I had to go and put them all back in the closet where they belong!

'Tis the Season!!!

The boys have done so well these past two weeks at their new school. Daddy and I have been so proud of their bravery! Jackson walked right in sat down like he owned the place. He was voted Super Star of the week already and got to be the line leader and class helper. He is so proud to hold the door open..such a gentleman! And, not one issue regarding his hand. Infact, we think he may have a crush already...he sure does talk about Taylor a lot lately!

Ryan cried at drop off a few days but is so happy when I peak on him through out the day. I adore his teacher! She is just the sweetest! I can't begin to express how pleased I am that we switched! We picked a great time to make the move too! December has been super busy for the boys b/c they had to step in and learn their parts in their Christmas progams! :) Here is Jackson singing his first song. I have so much video but I will spare you the other 2 songs! He is such a ham! Ryan, well, his class sang Jingle Bells and I completely derailed him when he saw me. He made me sit with him while he sang with his classmates...it was fun though!

Ryan was excited to celebrate his friends birthday this month too! Jack Jr had an awesome party on a very beautiful day in his backyard!! We also were lucky to enjoy a pizza party for his buddy Christian at Peter Piper Pizza! I was very pleased that Ryan actually enjoyed himself since he has been under the weather so much lately...he played for at least 3 hours and then took a wonderful nap!

Constant Struggle

So, Jack and I have made up our minds, we think ;), about moving the boys from their current school. Initially, when Jackson was born, we weigh'd the pros and cons of an "in home" school setting. We felt it was the right fit for him at the time. Now, 4 years later, we have agreed that Jackson needs something more. A recent incident has helped us make this decision and I am actually grateful for it. It made me realize that Jackson(mainly momma) can't be sheltered any longer and that he needs to be in a more challenging environment for him. Don't get me wrong, I am very pleased with the education he has received thus far. His manners are wonderful, his social skills are amazing. He will walk up to anyone and say Hi, I am Jackson, What is your name? His numbers, Letters, Coloring, Writing..all are superb...BUT, I am sooooo scared, and sooo worried how this transition will be for him. I hate that he will have to explain his hand situation over and over and over....I hate that he won't be with his brother at school and that they won't have each other to lean on during the day. I know I wish I had my sister close by when my day got rough. However, I do know that this transition will ultimately be very good for him (and momma ;) )and will help prepare us for him to start kindergarten. I love my BIG baby boy....and I worry about him so much. THANK GOD for him being so outgoing.....Wish us luck. We hope to begin the new school on December 1st. I pray he does well.

But my honey's softball team, Old No 7, finally won the title in their division! I had to ask if they were moved to the 50 years old and under bracket/division and he just glared at me :)!! At least I thought it was funny! Jack said the other thought Old No 7 was totally whacked out by the way they were celebrating. Some guys were crying, some guys threw up their gloves and tackled their buddies, some guys just looked up at the sky and Thanked God with tears flowing! I sure wish I was their to witness this historic event!!! Love you honey! WAY TO GO!

Our good friends Gena and Craig Ross had their annual Halloween party lastnight! It ROCKED as usual! Their house is fabulously decorated and the food and beverages hit the spot! Homemade Lasagna! YUM! Attendee's were many pirates, 2 Jack Sparro's, Chucky and the Bride of Chucky, A witch, the cast from the Wizard of Oz, a Flapper, Handy Smurf, Plug and Outlet, and Batman and catwoman. Good time had by all!

OU who??? How awesome was that game! I am so proud of my Texas Longhorns that I am still smiling ear to ear!!!! We had some friends over to watch the BIG GAME and I actually got to sit and watch it a bit. It was an awesome game. All I cared about was that Texas didn't get clobbered and played a good game. I am a firm believer that God puts people in your path for a reason and I am so very lucky that Jack crossed my path when he did. We met in college @ UT during a very difficult time for me. I had just had my 2nd car stolen, I was having a difficult time in school, working full-time was certainly overwhelming me, and my best friend of 13 years lost her fight with Cystic Fibrosis. That year, was just plain horrible for me.

Thanfully, Jack was there. Jack brought back my sunshine. He hugged me each day, he made me smile each day, AND he continues to do those things for me today. These past 10 years have been such a blessing. He teaches me what is important in life and how to be a better person. He reminds me not to sweat the small stuff. When I start to see any clouds or rain, he immediately turns on the sunshine, in overdrive!!!
Jack, I love you more today than I could ever imagine. Thank you for all that you have done for me and our boys. And for being my husband, partner, and the most awesome dad in the world. I will be a very proud momma if our boys grow up to be just like you! I LOVE YOU SO~!

35 .....(sigh!)

I turned 35 yesterday and actually, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I have been dreading this number for a few years now. I realize that it is just a number, but for the past 6 years when dealing with fertility issues, 35 was always a BAD number and looked at negatively. The doctors repeatedly said, "at least you are not 35". Or, be glad you are taking measures NOW, b/c it would be worse when you hit 35. :( . Sadly, I am 35 now. I have hit that mark where I should be worried about having another baby. I know many women have had a baby after 35, but with me, I still get worried. We would like to have another child but I understand it isn't likely that we will be blessed again given my history and issues. If it happens, ROCK ON, and if doesn't, we will still ROCK ON with our 2 most precious gifts we have been given! So, 35, not so bad after all. I have an incredible husband, and the 2 most awesome kids in the world. I wouldn't trade a thing. I am so blessed I get chills thinking about it!

To help me celebrate the dreaded bday (wink wink)...Jack had the extended family over to cook out and enjoy some much needed family time. With work being so crazy, I haven't really gotten to relax and watch all the kids run around and be kids! The night before, he took me to a super super nice dinner and then out to enjoy some drinks with our good friends Chris and Kristin. It just so happens they were celebrating their 11th wedding anniversay on my birthday....We went to a new place called NYLO and really had a great time! Here are some pic's....

Ah,that feels better!

These past few weeks have been absolutely INSANE for me! I can't seem to keep my head above the water! To start off, our house seems to be falling apart....we built it 7 years ago and I've been told this is the time everything starts to break. Out of nowhere, our electric bill was WAY OVER $900 for the first time since we moved in! I totally freaked out. So, to avoid it happening again, I changed the temps in the house dramatically for a month and it felt like we were in he*@. OMG! it is amazing how the temperature can affect your mood. Our entire household was grumpy that month. We were sweating all day and all night...we couldn't get comfortable, the dog was evening rolling her eyes and griping at me. We didn't dare cook in our kitchen b/c the heat would be unbearable. We had a technician come out and assess the issue and we think we got it fixed. THANK THE LORD! And yes, our bill was much lower the next month b/c of the technician. Sadly, my efforts of trying to live near the equator didn't put a dent in the problem. Dang it, we were sweatin all for nothing!

My entire household has had the stomach flu. Daddy Jack has managed to get it TWICE!!! No bueno!!

Ryan is going through a phase! And I pray it is only a phase...but he is being such a stinker lately. We can't take him anywhere! He knows what he wants and when he doesn't get it...LOOK OUT. Jackson's 2nd soccer game was so embarrassing. Really, his screaming was uncontrollable. The other mom's just gave me a look like "that sucks, been there..or thank gosh that isn't me, today!" My only excuse is I say, I think he has an ear infection! For some reason, that makes it better in my mind!

I have been so worried about my friends and family about the hurricane aftermath and I haven't really been able to express it. I pray that all are ok and have minimal damage. That just makes me sad to think of the devastation that storm caused. :(

The election: Ugh!

What is it with the financial markets? Although I truly love my job and am very thankful to work for such a great company...Work has become such a beating for me. I am tired, I am whipped, and NO, I CAN'T FIX what is going on in the market! Ok, really....I wish I could make it all go away and tell everyone when their stock is going to go up....but my crystal ball seems to be broken! Sorry to be grumpy.

I miss my family and I miss my friends. I am sooooo looking forward to the Fall Season and everything that comes with it. The cold and frisky weather is so enjoyable. The FOOTBALL games, fall festivals, the family time, the friend time, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All of this puts a smile on my face and I just can't wait to enjoy it with the ones I love.

Jackson just started his first season of Soccer on The Rockets and we are sooo pumped! He has slept with this "shocker" ball and "shocker" shoes for 4 days now. That is how he pronounces Soccer...too cute and yes, we are working on fixing that! :) We've had one practice and Jackson did fantastic! He walked right up to the coach and said "hey, coach...watch this!" We were expecting him to put his ball down and do some sort of kick...Nope, not Jackson, he instead carefully put his ball down and did a forward roll. Yep, thats my kid! It was so cute and the coach actually was awesome and asked him to do it again! What a great coach! And yes, that is him with the WHITE socks and WHITE shoes...Jackson's pick! :)

Finanlly, our time has come!!! Jack and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (very early) this week in Cancun, Mexico!!! Our anniversary isn't until October 10th, but my sister graciously offered to fly up and watch the boys so that Jack and I could get away before school starts for her kiddo's!!! I don't think she knows what she is getting into! :) We have been counting the days for months now and pray the weather is enjoyable since it is hurricane season.

At any rate, I will be offline for a bit while soaking up some sun on the beautiful beaches of Mexico!!!

Since my good friend Patti came to Dallas with her son this week for baseball championship tournament, we decided to get together with our other good friend Amanda and all of our kiddo's. We drove out to Grand Prairie on Sunday afternoon and spent the afternoon catching up on old times while the kids were creating their own memories!! Amanda, Patti and I met in Middle School in Houston while playing volleyball and basketball. We continued to play sports together our freshman year @ Elsik and became super friends!!!! I am so happy that we've been able to stay in touch and pick up where we left off despite us not talking in months! They are truly dear friends to me and I love getting time to visit with them! They both look as beautiful as ever too! Thanks to Gene also for the WONDERFUL BBQ! So delicious!!

Our kiddo's LOVED their time together as well. Jackson actually threw the biggest fit I had ever seen when I told him we had to leave. This picture is me forcing him to smile right after I told him we were going home...I crack up each time I look at it! Ryan has this concerned look on his face too.... FUNNY!

OMG!! My baby is 4 years old! I can't even grasp this....it seems like yesterday he was walking around with his purple "fa fa" in his mouth!! He called his pacifier a "fa fa" thanks to his cousin Lilly. :)AND he would only accept a pinkish/purple one. Fortunately, he gave it up right at 2 1/2 years old without a fight at all. I am so proud of my son for many reasons. He is such a fighter! His first few years weren't the easiest as he had many many minor issues. 7 surgeries by the time he was 3 years old! All unrelated and pretty minor in nature THANK GOD. But even for a 4 year old, that is a lot to handle. That is a lot for a 1st time mommy to handle as well. Despite his many visits to the doctors, he now walks in as if he owns the room, and tells the nurses how to take his temp, check his ears, AND that he needs his bubber glubs (rubber gloves) so daddy can blow them up and make an animal out of them. One of my favorite things about Jackson is that he is SUCH A LOVER!! He will come up to me anytime of the day and say "Momma, can I nuggle with you?" Nuggle=Snuggle :) and say that he loves me at least 3 times a day. He gives all of his classmates hugs when he leaves, and always always makes sure Baylee gets her hugs before bedtime. He adores his little brother and is extremely protective of him when others give him any kid of attention.

We celebrated my baby's birthday this past weekend with his closest friends and family. We rented out a fantastic splash pool with water slides and ate pizza and POWERRANGER cupcakes! The night was a success as Jackson fell asleep in the car on our way home. Thanks to everyone for making my sweet baby's birthday so super special! Love you all!!

I am sad that I don't live closer to my dad so I can spend this special day with him....he lives in Iowa and although I can call and talk with him, it isn't the same. Happy Father's Day dad!!! I hope it was super special and I miss you so much!

Jack had a great Father's Day! At least I hope so! :) . We woke up pretty early, gave Dadda his gifts and spent the entire day lounging and playing around in the backyard with the boys in their little pool....then, EVERYONE came over early afternoon for some great BBQ Ribs and Chicken. I got a new recipe from a good friend and I do have to say...YUM! They turned out delicious!!!! Jack and I participated in our first Pub Crawl this past weekend that benefited Cancer. There were so many teams out there, I can't believe I had never heard of this activity before....we were lucky to have both our teams paired up so we could hang out together during the day. We had such a blast! It was AWESOME because we felt like we were in college again!! Jack's dad was kind enough to drive all of us to and from the Crawl to make sure we all were safe!!! A busy month!

April has been one of the busiest months I have had in a very long time. Work is going great, but I have had a few functions that has kept me from tucking my boys in bed and I miss it dearly! Luckily, things have slowed down a bit so things will get back to normal here now. We recently attended Lilly's 6th birthday party in Houston and we had a blast. It is amazing how fast this little girl is growning up. She is such a young lady and just as beautiful as ever. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pic's of the birthday girl! :(

A Night Out.....

We went out with some family and friends to go country dancing for the first time in ages!! I was worried since we haven't danced for so long, but it is really just like riding a bike! :) The first dance was a little shaky, and then Jack and I fell right back into our comfort zone. We danced, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and our boys enjoyed time with their Nana.

More Snow!!!

Well, it snowed again today! When we got home from work/school today, we got bundled up headed outside to play in the snow. Jackson and Daddy built their very first snowman, named "Gary". Not sure where Jackson came up with that name but Gary it is :). Jackson got sad b/c couldn't understand why Gary had to stay outside when we came in to eat dinner. So after dinner, we promised him we would go out and make Gary a companion so he won't be lonely !!!!!

Jack is feeling better. Still not 100% but at least he can hold his food down. Jackson, well he never skips a beat even if he is sick. I, on the other hand, can't tolerate the slightest colds. Only b/c the house stands still....so, I woke up today and went to the Doc in the Box.

Good news:
-I do not have the Flu,
-I do not have Pneumonia,
-I do not have Strep.

Actually, they couldn't tell me what I have, but did give me a shot of steroids in my hiny, z-pack, and sent me on my way. I do feel better and my fever finally broke this morning. It is CRAZY how fast this snuck up on me.

BTW- I hope you like the new blog format. It is amazing what you can do at 1:00am when your body won't let you sleep(smile). I am still experimenting/learning so expect a few more changes as I get better with this blog stuff. :) Thanks for letting me share.....

Off to get me some chicken noodle soup! Yum!

I am completely defeated. Jackson has been sick since the beginning of January. Literally. He has had Strep 4 times in a row. How can you get Strep while on antibiotics for Strep you ask? I don't know but Jackson did it...4 TIMES! Then, we thought he would get better but wait, SURPRISE, another fever. Every three days he'd spike a fever. Just so random.

I traveled for the 1st time this past week for work since he was born. Jack had double baby duty for 2 days. While currently on antibiotics for Strep, Jackson, amazingly came down with the stomach flu, not to mention Ryan got a sinus infection. :) Of course it had to happen when I was out of town. Jack had to deal with both kids by himself while Jackson was vomitting and had diarrhea for 2 days straight. I talked to him almost every 3 hours to get an update and Jack was amazing. He stayed calm and focused. I will pat Jack on the back because when I walked in from the airport, the house was sparkly clean, both kids were bathed, and the laundry was even done. I was so impressed. So, guess what Jack's reward was for doing so well with the kids while I was away? The STOMACH FLU! His sweet baby Jackson passed on his sickness to daddy and he has been in bed all day! To make things worse, my throat hurts and I feel achy. UGH! make it go away!!!

PS~ I am so sick of winter! Or wait..is it spring? Who knows....it may snow tomorrow even though today it was 70 degrees.....I am just whipped!

LAZY SUNDAY!!!!!

With my entire household being sick, we lounged around all day today. Literally! We all wore our PJ's the entire day and did absolutely nothing. I loved it. Then the guilt set in....I had so much stuff I needed to get done.... so I started to wash the HUGE stack of clothes by the washing machine. As I was making my last run through the house, I realized I couldn't find my laundry basket....and here is the reason why! :)

They are just too cute for words....these boys get a long so well. I couldn't be more blessed. Here are a few of Ryan in his Sunday PJ's.

My inlaws are celebrating being happily married for 40 years today!! Can you believe that? 40 Years! It is just amazing! I look at how happy they are realize how blessed we all are to have them in our lives and that they can show us "how it is done" :) .

We had a small dinner in their honor at Spaghetti Warehouse (a family favorite) last night. We enjoyed spending time with great friends, family and ate some AWESOME food! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. D! We love you so!

Although Jack was not on the winning team, we had a blast!! The kids...wow, they were everywhere! My college roommate and her husband are having a BABY!! WoooHooo!! Due in the next 4 weeks. We couldn't be more excited for them. And of course, its a little boy. What is it with all of the baby boys being born...there are just SOOO many little boys running around. I am afraid that my boys will have slim pickin's went Prom time rolls around :). Note: get prom dates lined up NOW :).

At any rate, our family made a quick trip to Austin for my old roommates baby shower. I totally forgot how hard it is to travel with kids when you are staying with friends who don't have kids. We stayed at my friends parent's house since they have a ROCKIN' house and live on 16 acres! Got to love that!
But, seriously, you have to pack soooo much stuff: bottles, diapers, wipes, formula, toys, snack food, a pack in play, blankets, clothes....the list goes on and on and on. Despite bringing everything but the kitchen sink, the trip was successful and the baby shower was just so much fun. We had a great time catching up with old friends and I think the boys enjoyed themselves investigating the new, unfamiliar territory of Austin...well, as much as
a 3 year old and 1 year old can. ;). No pictures to share..but I have a few memories of the trip that make me smile:

1. As my old roommates DAD comes downstairs for his morning coffee, Jackson asks, " WHAT HAPPEN TO YOUR HAIR...?" it got so quiet, we all heard crickets right after that....
2. Jackson had to go potty...RIGHT THEN. We stopped car, daddy walked around and let Jackson stand on car running boards and "do his business" into the grass. Jackson felt he was "privileged" to tinkle in grass and now won't stop asking to do it again.
3. Jackson had his -oh so too small BRIGHT YELLOW sponge-bob squarepants pj's- on while wearing smallest backpack ever. He kept walking around doing the "hand shot-gun point with the wink" sayin "I'm cool dude" (hard to put in words, but the funniest thing I've seen)

Oh my, I just can't believe that my baby is turning 1!! This has been the fastest year I can remember. Ryan has experienced so many things this year and he is just getting to be super smart. Although he isn't walking just yet, he has to be the fastest crawler I have ever seen. It reminds me of the butler on the movie Mr. Deeds; first you see him, then you don't!! He is such a happy baby....always smiling and giving you those deep belly laughs~ He absolutely adores his Daddy! If he see's Jack or hears him, he is definitely on a mission to get to him. You might ask what his favorite toy is? Well his brother of course!! Nothing/Noone can entertain or make Ryan laugh as much as Jackson. Our family car rides are hilarious....Jackson is always making silly noises and silly faces trying to get Ryan to laugh, and it always works!! We celebrated Ryan's 1st birthday with our closest friends and family this weekend.....

Ryan is sure lucky to be loved by so many!

Disney Playhouse

We were fortunate to see Mickey Mouse and his Disney Friends this past Friday @ Nokia Theatre. It was the first time I have been to Nokia and I have to say, I was impressed. It was just the right size and our seats were pretty good! Jackson had a blast, as I knew he would. He sang every song and I think Donald Duck was his favorite!! Ryan, well, lets just say, he is definitely a wiggle worm. He watched for about 8 mins, then, no go. There was nothing we could do to keep his still, except, well of course feed him. He stops in his tracks for his food!! :). I was surprised to see this difference in Ryan and Jackson. We took Jackson to see Sesame Street Live when he was 7 months old and he was amazed. He sat so still and watched the entire show without squirming one bit.....Ryan, not so much! Here are some fun pic's I took while at the show....

I love this photo! Sorry for the glare; my scanner isn't working so I had to take a picture of my picture so I could upload and share :). Love Ryan's rolled up jeans! I can't complain though...Daddy dressed the boys and took them to see Santa at the mall all by himself while I had to work today. I was pretty impressed at how well they looked and that only one of them was crying!! Good Job Daddy!!!

Today, I woke up in a serious fog. With butterflies in my tummy, I realized that today is the day my mom passed away unexpectedly 6 years ago. I was 28. I made a promise to myself I wasn't going to get sad. Instead, I was going to do everything I can to remember the fun times we've shared and reflect on who I am because of her. I spent the day telling my 3 year old about his Grandma Georgia and that he has a very special angel watching over him. I brought out the few pictures I do have to show him her face. I asked him, who is that in the picture...he immediately said, "that's you momma!" I couldn't have received a better compliment.

I am proud to say that my success thus far is because of her motivation and influence. She taught me many lessons that I carry with me and plan to share with my children. My one regret, is that she isn't here with us to spoil her grand kids the way I know she wanted to .

I only have a few pictures of my mom as she hated to be photographed. But I wanted to share one of my favorites. Here we are celebrating Christmas at my late grandma Helen's house. Can you believe how awesome my mom looks here....all after having 5 kids!

I LOVE LOVE this time of year!!! Although my list of things I am thankful for is much longer than what I am posting, I wanted to mention some of them here.

• I am so thankful to be married to the most AMAZING man. Having someone who loves you unconditionally, warts and all, is such a blessing. I just love him so!!

• I am so thankful that God has blessed our family with Jackson and Ryan.
They are truly miracles sent from heaven above and I cherish each and every day I get to see their sweet smiles and hear each of them laugh!

• I am so thankful that I have a WONDERFUL relationship with my in-laws. I couldn't have picked a better family to marry into. I feel "at home" when I am with them. I love them dearly.

• I am so thankful that Mrs. D is such a fighter and has such a positive view on everything. She has been such an amazing influence on me and I pray for her daily.

• I am so thankful that I can pick up the phone and call my sister/best friend for ANYTHING at ANYTIME. She is my ROCK and I love her so much! I can't imagine what I would do without her.

• I am so thankful for my friends. I am truly a lucky person to be surrounded by such warm, genuine, caring individuals. My friends are very important to me and I wish all of them a wonderful and safe holiday season!!!
